Woeginger's axiomatisation of the h-index and its relation to the g-index, the h(2)-index and the R2-index

چکیده
Recently Woeginger [Woeginger, G. H. (2008-a). An axiomatic characterization for the Hirsch-index.Mathematical Social Sciences. An axiomatic analysis of Egghe’s g-index. Journal of Informetrics] introduced a set of axioms for scientific impact measures. These lead to a characterization of the h-index. In this note we consider a slight generalization and check which of Woeginger’s axioms are satisfied by the g-index, the h(2)-index and the R2-index. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Introduction: One of the scientific members of faculties’ gradation criteria is evaluation of their publications’ quantity and quality. H-index, G-index, and m parameter are used recently. This paper was aimed to assessment faculties’ publications’ quantity and quality, and citation ranking of IUMS’ faculties by using those indices. Methods: This is a descriptive- applied study, used checklist,...
متن کاملWiener Polarity Index of Tensor Product of Graphs
Mathematical chemistry is a branch of theoretical chemistry for discussion and prediction of the molecular structure using mathematical methods without necessarily referring to quantum mechanics. In theoretical chemistry, distance-based molecular structure descriptors are used for modeling physical, pharmacologic, biological and other properties of chemical compounds. The Wiener Polarity index ...
متن کاملNordhaus-Gaddum type results for the Harary index of graphs
The emph{Harary index} $H(G)$ of a connected graph $G$ is defined as $H(G)=sum_{u,vin V(G)}frac{1}{d_G(u,v)}$ where $d_G(u,v)$ is the distance between vertices $u$ and $v$ of $G$. The Steiner distance in a graph, introduced by Chartrand et al. in 1989, is a natural generalization of the concept of classical graph distance. For a connected graph $G$ of order at least $2$ ...
متن کاملOn the distance based indices of H-phenylenic nanotorus
Let G be a connected simple (molecular) graph. The distance d(u, v) between two vertices u and v of G is equal to the length of a shortest path that connects u and v. In this paper we compute some distance based topological indices of H-Phenylenic nanotorus. At first we obtain an exact formula for the Wiener index. As application we calculate the Schultz index and modified Schultz index of this...

Introduction: J.E.Hirsch introduced H Index to scientometric domain , representing actual scientific profitability quality of a researcher’s publications and is equal to effective index for researchers. Literature review:Studies showed that documents database have provided different H scores for each researcher and for different scientific fields. Despite the utmost advantages of H-index it als...
